Over the years we have found that the best RV experiences depend on the entire RV Industry. It starts from the manufacturers and how they build the RVs; the RV service centers that repair the RVs and keep them roadworthy; the campgrounds and RV resorts that offer their facilities; the RV rental locations that offer RVs and lay the ground work for an awesome RV experience and most importantly, the renters who enjoy the results of all of these professionals.

Manufacturers must provide RVs that are immediately roadworthy, since large numbers of new RVs are put into rental service without delay. All RV rental locations should inspect and test their RVs, if quality control comes into question it will reflect badly on the manufacturer and the RV rental company. Please understand that even when every “i is dotted and t is crossed” sometimes a RV still malfunctions; our industry stands behind the products we offer.

The efficiency of the work that is provided by RV service centers, nationally, is also a key ingredient because RV rental customers need immediate service. It is important that service centers take care of customers promptly and that they are mindful not to overcharge for the services they provide.

Campgrounds and RV resorts have a major responsibility because RV renters are both experienced as well as first timers; both want facilities that allow them to have great experiences during their stay.

RV rental companies have an obligation that starts with the first phone call, through the entire rental process; including the final refund of the renter’s security deposit. There must be a clear description of the product, all necessary documentation, answers to questions (before, during, and after), a roadworthy RV that fits the renters’ needs, and a reasonable closeout procedure. Customers have many reasons for deciding to rent; fulfilling those needs often transforms a customer into a client that frequently returns.

The renter must be mindful that RV rental companies have made a great investment in the RV they’ve rented, far greater than the rental amount, so they must abide by the terms of the rental agreement. They must arrive at the appointed time to check out and check in the RV; regardless of their RV experience, they must listen closely to the technician as they explain how the RV operates to enhance their RV experience; and if they have difficulties on the road, even the newest RV sometimes works improperly, they must be clear and concise when they call for assistance. Non-smoking RVs and no pets are so designated for the general health and well-being of all renters; please honor those requests.
